In this section we revisit the topological descriptors of data series and images. These descriptors consist of an alternative or complementary route to more experienced statistical descriptors (moments, correlations, covariograms, ...) [1]. They enable comparing, clustering, classifying and modeling (from nonlinear regressions) data with high topology content.
