Prospects for the Development of Mini Blast Furnaces in the Context of Green Metallurgy
摘要
The Chapter summarizes the dynamics of development of blast furnace production, the main indicators achieved, lists the most important development trends; describes the current state, goals and paths of global companies and individual countries to reduce emissions and move to “green” metallurgy. The maximum possible utilization of the local secondary materials becomes an economically feasible task. A detailed technology for recycling such materials as oiled mill scale and zinc-containing dust and sludge into production is proposed, using briquetting and MBF as the main technological solutions. The Chapter reflects the importance of a comprehensive assessment and consideration of the maximum possible number of factors for choosing a recycling strategy. MBF is an ideal organic component of the technological cycle of recycling of secondary materials both as a part of the cycle and as the key unit.
