Traditional methods of research dictated the use of web-based tools like Google and others to find published literature based on entering keywords. Researchers had to be creative in using different keywords and tactics to find more specific literature. The Introduction of AI tools has revolutionised the researchers’ approaches as these tools not only have the ability to suggest literature, but they can actually build an outline and produce the full paper. The main discourse is currently whether to ban the use of AI tools as means of plagiarism, or should they be allowed, as resisting the new futuristic tools will only strengthen their popularity and use by the future generations? Published literature has suggested that currently a number of students are already using AI tools in producing their university level papers. The paper explores the situation amongst an Egyptian international university and extends upon a case study conducted within a senior-level seminar course. The study entails a limited tentative analysis comparing papers generated through conventional methods with those crafted with the aid of AI tools. In addition, the paper concludes that using AI tools in creating content is a supportive process in finding literature promptly and suggesting content and relationships rather than plagiarism.
