The Influence of Link Lengths on the Kinematic Performance of the 2R Serial Robot
摘要
The work focuses on investigating the influence of the link lengths of the 2R serial robot on the performance measures inside the entirety of the reachable workspace. MathWorks MATLAB was used to numerically evaluate the distributions of the performance indices. It was observed that for symmetric variations of the link lengths, the manipulability of the structure is identical between the two analyzed configurations, one in which the first moving element is shorter than the second moving element and one in which the two length dimensions are inverted. Furthermore, it was observed that the configuration in which the first moving element is shorter imposed higher dexterity for the structure, while the configuration in which the first moving element is longer imposes higher maneuverability, force transmission and precision.
