The Overview of Digital Technologies on Agricultural Productivity: Analysis of Current Trends

The digitalization of agriculture is not only a trend, but also a necessity in the modern world. The introduction of digital technologies can significantly improve the efficiency and competitiveness of agriculture. Government support and investment in innovative solutions play a key role in the successful transformation of the industry. The introduction of digital solutions promises significant improvements in resource management, increasing yields and reducing costs, which is critical for agricultural development in the face of global climate change and population growth This article provides an overview of digital technologies applicable in the European agricultural sector, the accumulated practice of their use and forecasts for the future. The main objective of the study is to make an overview of these technologies on agricultural productivity of those countries who has been already implemented. To achieve this goal, the study includes both qualitative and quantitative data reflecting positive trend in productivity after the implementation of digital solutions with a possible positive forecasting for further years. This helps the authors to analyze the positive impact and the necessity of agriculture digitalization. In the article it was described Impact of IoT on Agriculture in Europe: how the Internet of Things (IoT) is impacting agriculture in European countries by improving efficiency, reducing costs and reducing environmental impact. Presented statistics to predict an increase in the number connections in agriculture. Precise farming, the percentage of implementation of artificial intelligence and big data in agriculture in European countries in 2023 was presented in the article to understand the impact of agriculture digitalization.
