Camilla Battista da Varano (1458–1524) was an Italian mystic and religious writer who lived and died in Camerino, in Northern Italy. Born in a noble family, she took her vows as a Poor Clare nun in 1481. She was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010. Her significant contributions to Italian religious literature include several spiritual works, most notably her Autobiografia (transl. Autobiography) (1491), which narrates her tormented religious path.
