Adelheid Langmann was a nun in the Dominican convent of Engelthal near Nuremberg and a late medieval mystic. She represents an important voice the German female mystics of the late Middle Ages. Her Revelations revealed her gifts of divine graces, and included teachings about the attainment of salvation, most especially through prayer and meditation. She was often sought out by visitors to the convent to receive spiritual guidance, and the convent itself was a central stronghold of late medieval women’s mysticism.
