Mainly based on a review of industry reports (e.g., PwC, KPMG, etc.) and academic literature, it addresses the interconnections between technology and the built environment, under the new frontiers in economic, social and environmental sustainability. The Chapter reflects on how the most pressing challenges in real estate and construction are global challenges that can be faced only with the aid of technology.
