It plays a pivotal role in facilitating seamless change management processes by nurturing transparency, trust, and collaborative alignment among stakeholders. Effective communication enables the key steps for change readiness to be applied, helping organisations navigate the change processes that emerge. To illustrate how universities are driving change and transformation, the Envision 2030 strategy of Durban University of Technology and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) V2030 Strategy are discussed. These strategies serve as blueprints for managing change within their respective institutions. Both strategies emphasise the importance of stakeholder participation and engagement in driving the envisioned changes for the sustainability of their universities. The discussion on change management highlights the significance of communication in promoting enduring change and underscores the diverse themes necessary to drive effective change narratives within organisations.
