The article examines the process of organizing the delivery of rolled metal products of the metallurgical plant “Zaporizhstal” in the conditions of post-war restoration of transport routes. Possible volumes of shipments of metallurgical products for export through ports in the post-war period are analyzed. The purpose of the study is the task of reducing transport costs and taking environmental indicators into account when planning transportation. In this context, particular attention is drawn to the possibility of using the emission quota trading system as a tool for regulating carbon dioxide emissions. Statistical analysis is carried out and the laws of distribution of random variables of the duration of product delivery are established. The application of the emission quota trading system as a tool for regulating carbon dioxide emissions is considered. The importance of using simulation modeling in determining the optimal parameters of transport systems in the course of literature analysis is emphasized. A simulation model of product delivery has been developed, which allows to study its effectiveness in various conditions. As a result of a series of experiments with different coefficients of distribution of wagons by destination ports, the most rational option for organizing the delivery of products using the ports of the Black Sea and Zaporizhzhia river port was determined. At the same time, special attention was paid to minimizing carbon dioxide emissions and reducing the environmental impact of the transportation process on the natural environment.
