Choosing a Technical Means from the Set of Alternatives by the Method of Gray Relational Analysis (on the Example of a Truck Trailer)

The goal is to develop the algorithm for determining the effective technical means with a set of alternative methods of gray relational analysis (using the example of a truck trailer). Methods. To select technical means, close to the target (reference) indicators from a set of alternatives, we will use the method of gray relational analysis, which allows us to determine the best alternative of the technical means based on the analysis of actual and target (reference) indicators as selection criteria. The results. The process of determining the technical result from a set of alter-natives by the method of gray relational analysis has been developed, which involves the evaluation of actual indicators with target (reference) indicators to ensure the selection of the best alternative. It is proposed to determine the coefficient of gray analysis for each group of actual indicators of the technical means, to reduce the influence of the human factor with the necessary ranking. An example of choosing a truck (a truck trailer) from six alternatives for transporting cargo in the warehouse of a freight train is given, based on the given target indicators. The scientific novelty consists in increasing the reliability of management decision-making when solving multi-criteria problems of choosing and justifying the best alternative of technical means using the method of gray relational analysis. Practical value. An algorithm for selecting and substantiating the best alternative of the technical result based on target (reference) indicators as selection criteria has been developed.
