Development of Transport and Logistics Infrastructure in Ukraine: Prospects and Challenges
摘要
In today’s economic climate, a technological reboot of transport and logistics infrastructure (TLI) is crucial. This reboot emphasizes the need for intellectualization and optimization of processes, requiring the development and implementation of new methodological approaches, particularly in analysis and modeling. A systematic approach to these methodologies is vital for fostering an integrated development paradigm of technological innovations and information resources, aimed at establishing a unified logistics information space. Lessons learned from European countries like Italy, France, and Great Britain can provide valuable insights for advancing the Ukrainian TLI. Key development drivers in Ukraine include integration into international networks, restructuring multimodal transportation, and establishing terminals through public-private partnerships (PPP). The operational activities of third-party logistics (3PL) and fourth-party logistics (4PL), along with the urgent delivery market, present promising opportunities for growth. Despite Ukraine’s integration into the international transport network, it ranks average in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), partly due to limited adoption of information and communication technologies. Embracing modern technologies as part of this integration can significantly enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of Ukraine’s TLI, ultimately contributing to sustainable economic growth through a comprehensive analysis of its current state and potential.
