Road safety is a very important direction in Ukraine and in other countries of the world. The number of people killed in road accidents in Ukraine in 2023 per 100 thousand population is 9.34 deaths. The increase in vehicles affects traffic volume and road capacity. This trend persists not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries of the world. As the intensity increases, the probability of road accidents with varying degrees of severity increases. With the help of analysis and comparison, it is necessary to analyze road accidents that occurred in the studied area, compare them with other areas, track the tendency of their occurrence, determine the reasons for their occurrence and, by the method of prospective extrapolation, calculate under what conditions it is possible to reduce the number of road accidents and improve road safety. The method of prospective extrapolation allows you to transfer trends and connections into the future and roughly calculate the influence of road factors on the occurrence of traffic accidents.
