The paper analyzes the dynamics of greenhouse gas emissions: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrogen oxide (I) (N2O) from the transport sector of Ukraine in accordance with the estimates presented in the National Inventory Report of Greenhouse Gases and assesses emissions of pollutants: nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOC). Sulfur dioxide (SO2). The time series trends of emissions of the average content of pollutants (heavy metals: lead (Pb), iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn)) in the atmospheric air have been analyzed according to air quality monitoring data of the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory. According to the results of the study, a sharp reduction (from 2.05 to 4.82 times) of greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants from 1990 to 1998 was established. And further stabilization at almost the same level by 2022. It is found that the largest emissions in the category occur in two categories of “road transport” and “other transport”. Emissions in these two categories account for 96.32% of total CO2 emissions, 98.94% of total CH4 emissions and 91.53% of total N2O emissions from transport activities. The most polluted cities of Ukraine are ranked and allocated according to the level of air pollution with lead (Pb), iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn).
