Last-mile logistics is an important part of the e-commerce supply chain, which faces challenges such as traffic congestion, air pollution and high costs. Modern technologies, including specialised software, are being used to address these challenges. In this paper, the systems of small parcel delivery by drones and small vans in Kharkiv are modeled using the Visum software. The developed methodology for modeling parcel delivery by drones makes it possible to assess the effect of integrating these unmanned aerial vehicles into the supply chain of a logistics service provider. The developed methodology for modeling the system of small parcel delivery by small vans via distributing routes emphasised the importance of ground logistics and its relevance in situations with variable consumer demand. Both methodologies were used to obtain technical indicators, such as fuel and energy consumption interpreted in kilowatt-hours. The calculation results show that drones open up the possibility of increasing delivery efficiency, especially in urban areas with complicated traffic conditions, as they can reduce operating costs by more than an order of magnitude.
