CSR activities have become increasingly important as a means of fostering stakeholder trust and enhancing corporate repute as the health insurance sector expands in response to the increasing demand for healthcare. The objective of this research is to evaluate the extent to which financial performance metrics, such as profitability, are substantially influenced by CSR efforts in this sector. The study investigates the relationship between financial outcomes and CSR investments by analysing profitability ratios, other financial indicators, and CSR expenditure. The results emphasise the extent to which socially responsible practices contribute to both short-term and long-term profitability by utilising a sample of listed health insurance companies in India. The findings are anticipated to offer valuable insights into the strategic asset of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the implications for corporate policy-makers, regulators, and stakeholders in the promotion of sustainable business practices in the health insurance sector.
