Analyzing Packaging's Role in Shaping Product Perception, Brand Value, and Sustainability of FMCG Goods
摘要
The purpose of this study is to decide on the role that packaging plays in product perception and brand value as well as its sustainability within FMCG. This is achieved by the use of statistical tools, such as correlation, regression analysis, factor analysis, and ANOVA. The paper checks the survey responses from 300 respondents who rank the different packaging attributes, namely design, material quality, and recyclability, which influence consumer attitudes and perceptions. Correlation analysis revealed strong positive relationships between sustainable packaging and good brand perception. On the other hand, regression analysis is used to establish that ‘packaging design’ and ‘eco-friendliness’ are significant predictors of appeal to a product. The factor analysis underlying factors such as ‘aesthetics’ and ‘sustainability’ influence consumer preference. The results of ANOVA will bring forth significant differences across consumers’ perceptions due to the use of several packaging strategies to emphasize the importance of sustainability.
