This study investigates the increasing niche of Muslim-friendly spa and wellness tourism, emphasizing the distinct demands and preferences of Muslim visitors pursuing health and relaxation experiences that conform to Islamic principles. Given the increasing demand for culturally sensitive travel options, it is crucial to comprehend the distinct needs and expectations of these demographics. A review of the existing literature was undertaken to identify the primary themes, encompassing the social and environmental aspects of wellness tourism, the emerging concept of the Muslim-friendly spa, the attributes of Muslim spas, and the determinants affecting consumer incentives. Despite increasing consumer interest, the study underscores a substantial deficiency in research about the development of spa and wellness services that are compatible with Muslim preferences. This review underscores the necessity for stakeholders in the wellness tourism sector to account for cultural and religious elements, ensure their services adhere to Islamic principles, and align with the beliefs of Muslim visitors.
