This study aims to determine the characteristics that affect financial literacy among Algerian graduate students. 74 participants from multiple Algerian universities provided the data. Principal component analysis revealed seven elements that contribute to financial literacy. The recognized components influencing financial literacy are financial awareness, financial experience, subjective financial knowledge, financial security, financial planning, financial goals, and financial behavior. The findings indicate that financial knowledge accounts for 28.139% of the variance, making it the most significant component. Includes information, practical skills, attitudes, and behaviors. The study elucidates the financial literacy landscape of young academics in Algeria and emphasizes the necessity for specialized financial education programs that comprehensively integrate theoretical knowledge with practical financial management abilities.
