The study is noteworthy since it may influence policy and practice within Iraq's domestic olive industry, a vital sector of the national economy. The research collected 232 participants from the survey and used descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings show that a combination of product attributes and sociodemographic factors influence consumer preferences and purchasing decisions. Consumers demonstrate a preference for premium table olives, with 80% of respondents acknowledging that quality substantially affects their purchasing decisions. Moreover, customers like table olives characterized by a moderate, subtly sweet flavor, with 70% of respondents indicating that taste significantly influences their purchase choices. The study's results have several ramifications for policymakers and industry stakeholders. Policymakers may enhance the production of premium table olives by offering incentives to farmers and producers that adhere to certain quality criteria. Moreover, authorities might focus marketing efforts and promotions on particular consumer demographics to enhance demand for table olives. Industry stakeholders may utilize these data to create new goods that align with customer desires. These insights may also be used to build customized marketing tactics that resonate with particular consumer demographics. By comprehending the determinants affecting consumer preferences and purchasing choices, policymakers and industry stakeholders may formulate plans to enhance the domestic olive sector and elevate the livelihoods of farmers and producers.
