The Interconnection of Green Finance and Islamic Finance: A Bibliometrics Analysis and Literature Review
摘要
The worldwide shift to a low-carbon economy is an urgent task for a coordinated effort from all sectors, including the financial industry. Characterised by its unique ideas and methods, Islamic finance might greatly help with this effort. In the framework of the green energy development, this paper aims to investigate the interaction between Islamic and green finance. To provide a thorough picture and define future research paths based on past studies in the Scopus database involving green finance and Islamic finance, a bibliometrics analysis using Vosviewer software and a literature review following the PRISMA framework were performed. Cartographic analysis generated by VOSviewer, two main themes have been identified from the specified reference journals related to Islamic finance and green finance. The first cluster addresses the implementation of green finance in the financial market. In this context, several indices are being developed, proposed, and tested to measure investment instruments that align with green finance principles. The second cluster looks at how green banking and Islamic finance interact.
