This chapter will discuss the process of disseminating Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) across a large health care system, namely the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). This multidimensional implementation effort included key components of policy support, comprehensive training, and development of agency-wide programs to enhance implementation and sustainment. The adaptability of these efforts over time is highlighted in the descriptions of the VHA CPT Training Program and PTSD Mentoring and Implementation Program. The implementation efforts demonstrated by the VHA may serve as an example of the comprehensive effort needed when planning the dissemination of evidence-based care in a large health care setting.
