A Study of Barrier of Total Productive Maintenances Implementation (BTPMI) Using Integrated Approach of Fuzzified Interpretive Structural Modeling (FISM) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM): A Case-Specific Review
摘要
This article tries to give an overview of the total productive maintenance (TPM) implementation methodologies used by industrial businesses with an emphasis on the 5S concepts. After a thorough review of the literature, the case study was used to identify and conceptually evaluate the factors influencing TPM adoption. The study finds significant problems with the total productive maintenance (TPM) implementation process in general and with 5S in particular. The report also shows how organizations may apply targeted TPM and 5S initiatives to improve their manufacturing skills. Most significantly, we found that it was essential to use an integrated technique of structural equation modeling (SEM) and fuzzy interpretative structural modeling (FISM), especially when examining the causal relationship between TPM obstacles at Bahir Dar Textile Share Company (BTSC). Thus, the necessary procedures and stages for the proposed technique (FISMSEM) were identified and modified accordingly. According to the interpretive structural modeling (ISM)’s level partitioning hierarchy, which was verified for goodness of fit statistics using SEM, the absence of employee resistance (ER), lack of motivation (LM), working culture (CR), and lack of training and education (LTE) were identified as top-level factors that are influenced by most factors. The importance of education and training in all professions must be emphasized since failing at the lowest level has an impact on higher levels, which is an endogenous variable.
