In recent years, with the European Green Deal and the Action Plan for the Circular Economy, Europe has relaunched the goal of pushing the construction sector towards a Circular Economy (CE). However, the construction sector is yet one of the most impactful. In order to activate circular strategies, 3D printing is a significant application with a view to creating sustainable materials for the construction sector. Starting from these considerations, the paper illustrates the experiences developed in two research projects, the MULTIFId project and the E-Adaptive project, about experimentation of facade cladding panels printed with additive technology. The research describes first the problems arising during production phase and their life-cycle impacts; then, how the reduction of criticalities and the better use of recycled materials can be supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) softwares. With a view to implementing circular production strategies, the aim is to promote the use of sustainable building materials produced through 3D printing.

摘要
