The chapter focuses on some basic properties of the space of Lipschitz continuous functions. In particular, we discuss their differentiability properties, present some extension results and prove compactness of suitable classes of Lipschitz functions. We also give some standard operations which preserve the property of being Lipschitz continuous. Finally, we briefly discuss the relation between Sobolev and Lipschitz functions.
