This Study addresses the reliance on social media by members of the public for tracking issues related to domestic violence. The study’s core problem concerns the extent to which the public depends on these platforms for following such topics and identifies the distinguishing features of these sites. The objective of the Study is to ascertain the extent of the public’s reliance on social media platforms and to investigate the most significant issues regarding domestic violence. A survey methodology and the questionnaire tool were employed to gather data from a sample comprising 106 respondents, both male and female, within a total sample size of 120 from Baghdad city. The remainder of the questionnaires were disregarded due to incomplete responses. The findings reveal that individuals consistently utilize social media, with Facebook being the primary platform used for following domestic violence issues. Furthermore, the most frequently addressed type of case was child abuse, which ranked highest in the nature of the issues explored.
