To Feel the Patient and the Lived Experience
摘要
Brief Existential Psychotherapy (BEP) is oriented with a balance between objective data collection for clinical purposes and patient-therapist inter-subjectivity, with a particular emphasis on feeling the patient according to Minkowski. The patient’s lived experience varies depending on the diagnostic picture and several cases are presented. The clinician’s own feelings, which have been the subject of study using a specific rating scale, the Assessment of Clinician’s Subjective Experience, developed at Sapienza University of Rome, are then given significant attention.
