The aim of the article is to present the methodological hypothesis of multispecies projects contributing to understanding how to compose ecological worlds, outlining a strategy for a more sustainable future for urban spaces based on quotidian worlds in Brazilian cities. It was developed at UFMG Architecture Scholl by the research Possible Gardens, extension and teaching. Some of the research conclusions were mobilized: relationship between humans and non-humans; socioecological narratives, practices and imaginaries as well as ecology and decolonization. The contributions of agent’s cosmopolitical practices will be pointed out with the aim of making explicit the possibility of overcoming the anthropocentric character of our way of composing worlds. The main proposal is to widen the political circle and include non-humans in it. Based on the understanding of multispecies anthropology and field research, the methodological hypotheses were constructed: considering non-humans as project subjects; the use of “what if?” trigger questions to broaden imaginaries; the creation of cosmopolitical assemblies. These hypotheses were tested in some disciplines. The conclusions are preliminary and point to the proposal utopian nature. However, the didactic exercises broadened the students’ socio-ecological imaginary and cosmopoliticals circle towards decolonisation of ecology and design practices. That can inspire transformative changes in policy-making.
