Many challenges exist when deciding to start a family in the context of medical education and training. While these challenges can be great and may lead many to delay childbearing, there are also benefits to starting a family early in your career. While becoming pregnant or pursuing other means to grow your family is ultimately a very personal decision, this chapter offers some reflection on the process and timing.
