Nontraditional fellowships encompass a broad range of specialty training available to Ob/Gyns, both within and outside of core Ob/Gyn competencies. Pursuing one of these fellowships can help an individual create a niche, prepare for other competitive fellowships, or broaden their scope of practice. This chapter explores some of the fellowships available to Ob/Gyn residency graduates, why they might choose to pursue such a fellowship, and what benefits they may see to their career projectory.
