Global agricultural systems have been greatly influenced by climate change, and tropical crops like mango (Mangifera indica) is increasingly facing the repercussions. All phases of the mango’s growth, including fruit development, are being impacted by climate change. The behavior, range, and severity of mango pest are changing due to changes in the worldwide climate, which makes things more difficult for mango growers. The effect of typical weather change on mango phenology is examined in this chapter, with particular attention paid to how important developmental phases such as blooming, fruit set, and maturity are impacted by increasing temperatures and changed precipitation patterns. We look at how these changes impact biochemical characteristics, such sugar concentration, acidity, and nutritional profiles, which in turn impact consumer acceptability and fruit quality. The chapter also discusses how shifting temperatures and humidity may make infestations and outbreaks worse, as well as how climate change is making mango crops more vulnerable to illnesses and pests.
