Impact of Soil Health on Mango Cultivation and Production Under Changing Climatic Scenarios

Mango production and cultivation heavily rely on soil health factors, especially in light of the strain caused by changing climate conditions. These factors include soil composition, nutrient availability, organic matter, and microbial diversity; all of these appear to be crucial elements that directly affect growth and fruit yield as well as disease resistance. The intricate relationship between soil health and mango output is further complicated by climate change, which is characterized by variations in temperature and precipitation as well as an increase in extreme weather events. This chapter explores how these alterations in soil quality affect pathogen activity, water-holding capacity, and nitrogen cycling. Environmentally friendly methods of soil management, such as crop rotation, cover crops, and organic amendments, are discussed in the paper as a potent way to improve soil resilience and boost mango yields in such delicate areas. It is now known that creative soil management and adaptive farming methods are essential to the long-term viability of mango orchards in the face of climate change.
