The deployment of AI in organisations introduces complex ethical dilemmas. This chapter explores a number of these in the context of AI-enabled cybersecurity, critically examining organisational realities including surveillance, automation, lack of transparency, and their impact on organisational security culture through the lens of three principles for ethical decision-making: Maleficence, Autonomy and Transparency. It considers the impacts of the implementation of AI in cybersecurity operations: on employees, on work culture and on organisational cybersecurity efforts. Finally, it proposes practical strategies and a checklist for integrating ethical considerations into various stages of AI implementation in cybersecurity.
