Anterior ectopic anus is a common congenital abnormality that is commonly missed, underreported and very little is written about. Anterior ectopic anus is defined as an anus that is anteriorly located in the perineum, yet fully surrounded by the sphincter muscle complex, and has a normal caliber. This chapter discusses the definition, clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of anterior ectopic anus.
