Migraine Trigger Factors and Wellness in Clinical Practice
摘要
Many individuals living with migraine associate trigger factors with the onset of migraine attacks. Trigger factors play an important role in migraine pathophysiology, though the mechanisms are not completely understood. Trigger factors are ubiquitous and unpredictable in nature; therefore, they may lead to migraine attacks at variable times, affecting quality of life in susceptible individuals. With advancing technology, trigger factors may be identified and tracked clinically with headache diaries and digital applications, providing insight into the migraine experience at both the individual and population-based levels. Clinical improvements in migraine-related pain and disability can be supported by optimization of trigger factor management, as a part of a comprehensive approach to migraine care and wellness.
