Musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology is a one-year fellowship for graduates of diagnostic radiology residency, which candidates can enter through a match administered by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) ( https://www.nrmp.org/ ). MSK radiology fellowships offer a wide variety of training in MRI, CT, and ultrasound diagnostic imaging, as well as image-guided procedures. Practicing as an MSK radiologist can be immensely rewarding, with a high volume of outpatient MRI studies, close collaboration with referring clinicians, and the option to perform CT- and ultrasound-guided procedures.
