Towards a Pedagogical Revolution: Intelligent Learning Systems in the Service of Higher Education
摘要
This paper explores the transformative impact of Intelligent Learning Systems (ILS) in higher education through several case studies. The Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center demonstrates the implementation of advanced educational tools to promote student-centered learning. The value of Virtual Environments (VEs) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies in providing cost-effective and immersive training experiences is highlighted, showcasing their potential in specialized fields such as aviation and medicine. Arizona State University’s extensive use of adaptive learning technologies underscores the benefits of personalized learning paths and immediate feedback, which enhance student engagement and success. Additionally, Carnegie Mellon University’s research in Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) reveals the effectiveness of sophisticated tutoring models in various instructional domains. By addressing current educational challenges and leveraging innovative technologies, these institutions exemplify a commitment to modernizing educational practices and improving learning outcomes.
