Coal gangue is a solid waste generated during the coal mining process, which has caused significant damage to the environment with the increasing accumulation over the years. Foam ceramics were prepared with coal gangue and waste glass as the main raw materials. The results show that the apparent density, porosity, compressive strength and thermal conductivity of the foam ceramics obtained under the conditions of sintering temperature of 775 ℃, holding time of 30 min, sodium carbonate content of 5%, and boron oxide content of 5% are 0.35 ± 0.04 g/cm3, 66.9 ± 0.7%, 6.2 ± 0.4 MPa, 0.042 ± 0.006 W/(m⋅°C), respectively. The excellent comprehensive performance makes it a potential inorganic insulation material for the construction industry.

摘要
