According to the current situation of woody plant diversity in Ma’anshan Forest Park, Wuhan, the species diversity of woody plants in Ma’anshan Forest Park was investigated by means of field investigation and typical sample plot method. Fifteen sample plots in the selected area were investigated, and the plants in the sample plots were recorded. And calculate the species richness index, diversity index, evenness index, frequency and other values. A total of 122 plant species belonging to 87 genera and 49 families were recorded. Among them, there are 75 species of trees belonging to 55 genera and 31 families, and 42 species of shrubs belonging to 29 genera and 17 families. The mean values of Margalef richness index in tree layer and shrub layer were 1.7134 and 1.5559, respectively. The mean values of Shannon-Winner diversity index in tree layer, shrub layer and herb layer were 0.8011, 0.6726 and 0.5989, respectively.
