Cambodia faces increasing challenges from climate-induced natural disasters, including floods, droughts, and typhoons, which are exacerbated by weak environmental governance and limited public awareness. This study investigates the integration of environmental governance and public awareness to improve disaster preparedness and response strategies. Using survey data from 270 respondents across 16 disaster-prone provinces, the research identifies key factors influencing disaster preparedness, such as past disaster experiences, risk perception, and access to information. Findings show that effective governance frameworks and enhanced public awareness through education and community-based initiatives significantly improve disaster management outcomes. The study emphasizes the need for stronger collaboration between local authorities and communities to implement region-specific disaster strategies, offering valuable insights for policymakers seeking to strengthen disaster resilience in Cambodia.
