Study on the Demonstration Effect of Pump-And-Treat to Repair Volatile Organic Compounds
摘要
In the process of the increasingly prominent problem of groundwater remediation in organic contaminated sites, this study conducted pump-and-treat experiment on the basis of an former pesticide factory site in Jiangsu Province, China, to rehabilitate groundwater contaminated by benzene, toluene and 1,2-dichloroethane. Groundwater reached steady state when pumping at 29 L/h; Within the radius of influence of the pumping, concentrations of benzene, toluene and 1,2-dichloroethane in groundwater were reduced to fell below the Class IV remediation target values in the “Standard for groundwater quality”. The study showed that pump-and-treat had good effects on the remediation of groundwater at sites contaminated with benzene, toluene and 1,2-dichloroethane and provided a basis for pump-and-treat to remediate groundwater at relevant contaminated sites.
