The waste is generated through processing of luxury textiles, including fabric leftovers, biochemical effluents, and surplus inventory. This chapter explores the waste management approaches specific to the peculiarities of the luxury textile sector. It starts with defining waste, specifically pre- and post-consumer waste types, then it lays out proposed solutions, including zero-waste design, circular economies, and biodegradable materials. It also explores the best possible ways and suggestions for upcycling and helps in closed-loop solutions, thereby paving the way to greener and sustainable luxury textile management. Insights from case studies of prominent luxury brands that have implemented waste management initiatives as part of their sustainability practices include practical lessons learned from their experiences, barriers to implementation (including costs and technology limitations), and highlights of successful waste management initiatives. Policy, regulations, and emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain will be highlighted as definitive enablers of sustainable transformation. The chapter then concludes with suggestions for stakeholders aiming to bring luxury fashion in line with luxury fashion with sustainability goals, flagging the techniques for a greener imminent.
