The prosperity of rural areas leads to the nation's prosperity, and cultural strength makes a nation strong. Traditional rural settlements are at the core of rural revitalization efforts and play a crucial role in fostering coordinated urban–rural development and enhancing cultural influence. Linpan, a typical rural settlement in the Western Sichuan Plain, exemplifies this. Cultural resource-based Linpan settlements not only share the general cultural characteristics of Linpan but also possess distinctive local cultural resources. In alignment with the practical needs and implementation goals of rural revitalization, this paper begins by identifying the cultural resource characteristics of Linpan. It then analyzes Daoming Bamboo Village using the theory of cultural capital, summarizes the lessons learned from Bamboo Village, and proposes strategies and methods for the transformation and development of cultural resource-type Linpan settlements. The aim is to offer insights and guidance for the transformation and development of Linpan and other traditional rural settlements with cultural resources within the context of rural revitalization.
