Mindfulness has always been believed to be closely related to psychological well-being because it helps people handle stress, anxiety, depression, and serious illnesses. Mindfulness has been extensively practiced as an intervention in counselling psychology, mindfulness as an intervention is also believed to increase joy and happiness. This study aims to understand the contribution of mindfulness on dependent measures such as psychological wellbeing and self-esteem and also comparing mindfulness in males and females. The population for the study is young adults (18–25). The sampling technique that has been used is convenience sampling. The results were found to be highly significant, indicating that mindfulness has a highly significant influence on psychological well-being and self-esteem, it was also found that males have higher mindfulness than females. The data was collected by circulating an online questionnaire through Google Forms, informed consent was taken from every participant, and the participation was completely voluntary. The sample size was 308 (females 57.14% and males 42.85%), with mean = 20.974 and SD = 2.533.
