Investment Awareness and Financial Literacy Among Millennials in India

This study explores the factors influencing investment awareness and financial literacy among millennials in India, focusing on the impact of financial literacy, access to financial information, social influence, spending patterns, and attitudes toward risk. A sample of 307 respondents aged 25–40, selected through convenience sampling, provided insights through a structured online questionnaire. The demographic analysis revealed a diverse respondent profile, with 45% aged 25–30, 50% holding postgraduate degrees, 60% employed full-time, and 70% residing in urban areas. Data analysis was conducted using correlation analysis to examine the relationship between the independent variables and investment awareness. The study’s findings provide a comprehensive understanding of how financial literacy and access to information influence investment decisions among millennials, offering insights for enhancing financial education and investment behavior. As per correlation matrix, the most influencing factor for Investment awareness is financial literacy while the least is Social Influence.
