Analysis of the Factors Promoting and Hindering Women’s Involvement in Cooperative Artisanal Entrepreneurship
摘要
Women’s entrepreneurship is booming and offers many benefits for women and society as a whole. It allows women to be economically independent, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth. In addition, it promotes the integration of women into society and the construction of a more just society. This study, based on 25 semi-structured interviews with women entrepreneurs who are members of artisanal cooperatives, explores their motivations and the obstacles they face. The results show that women’s entrepreneurship in Morocco, particularly within artisanal cooperatives, is experiencing remarkable growth. Motivated by the desire for economic independence and access to better working conditions, these women contribute positively to the national economy. However, they face specific challenges related to the democratic management of cooperatives, the lack of management and business skills, and difficulties in collaboration.
