Brazil may lead in green economy initiatives by integrating biodiversity with traditional industries. This paper examines the many opportunities and challenges of Brazil's new industrial policy, focusing on the bioeconomy as a driver for neoindustrialization. The study highlights Brazil's unparalleled biodiversity and natural resources and positions the country at the center of global discussions on sustainable economic transition. The analysis spans policies from 2002 to 2022 and the New Industry Brazil (NIB) program launched in 2024, emphasizing the critical role of bioeconomy in promoting social equity, environmental protection, and economic growth. The insights provided aim to guide policy formulation and open a dialogue with the international community of science and innovation about how the bioeconomy can potentially impact the country's social and economic development.
