A comprehensive analysis was conducted to examine the distribution of adult patients discharged from hospital, the incidence of hospitalised patients and the average length of stay of patients by disease class and nosology for the period between 2016 and 2020. This study considers and evaluates statistical data pertaining to adult hospitalised patients over a five-year period (2016–2020). In this study, statistical and analytical methods have been employed. The findings revealed a 15.4% decline in the number of patients discharged from hospital after the age of 18. Additionally, the incidence rate of hospitalised patients decreased from 205.5 to 175.8 per 1000 people, while the bed stay decreased from 11.7 to 11.0 days. There is a slight decrease in the incidence of hospitalised patients across all disease classes. In the final year of observation (2020), a shift in the structure of the incidence of hospitalised patients by class of disease was noted, resulting from the compelled re-classification of multidisciplinary hospitals into the infectious category due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
