At the[aut]Harvard University beginning of 1946, Kuhn seems to have begun to seriously reconsider his professional career. He had studied logicLogic and metaphysics with Sheffer[aut]Sheffer, Henry M. and Williams[aut]Williams, Donald C., and understood that he had too many gaps in his philosophical knowledge to dedicate himself full-time to that field, so he continued studying physics. But despite having decided not to go on into philosophy, he does not seem to have had a well-defined plan. His own memories of 1946 show bitter disillusionment, uncertainty, and lack of direction.
