Infectious Disease Imaging for Global Health
摘要
Medical imaging plays a wide range of roles in the diagnosis and management of infectious disease and therefore warrants special attention in low-resource regions having scarce radiological equipment, personnel, and services. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated global awareness of how system-wide gaps in healthcare resources can hinder responses to emerging infections and international pathogen transmission. Given medical imaging’s role in infectious disease, strategies for preparedness and healthcare system building warrant investment in the radiological resources needed for the prevention, control, containment, and treatment of infections.
